Gastric Bypass Surgery (Roux-en-Y)
The gastric bypass surgery (more formally known as the Roux-en-y surgery) is one of the most established weight loss procedures used around the world. This is where the patient reduces their stomach size by creating a smaller stomach pouch and connecting it directly to the intestine, skipping a huge part of your stomach.
The surgery takes between 2-3 hours and the stay afterwards is dependant to individual circumstances. It also alters your body’s caloric intake and hormones to your daily lifestyle and can reduce the risk of cancers, heart issues, cholesterol and mobility issues.
Mini Gastric Bypass
Much like the gastric bypass surgery, the mini gastric bypass surgery is the newest bariatric procedure available. This can be understood as a midpoint between sleeve gastrectomy and the Roux-en-Y bypass surgery. The reason why it has gained popularity is due to its inexpensive and fast procedure, which can be performed around 1 hour end the hospital stay can take about a single day.
This provides similar benefits to the gastric bypass (reduced risk of heart failures, cancers, cholesterol etc.) surgery but more for your money.

Sleeve gastrectomy
While the gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-Y bypass surgery) is the most established, the sleeve gastrectomy surgery is the most popular option around the world. This is because it is known to remove around 75% of your stomach, becoming a thin tube instead of a pouch.
This can greatly reduce your risk of health issues and nutritional deficiencies and part of the surgery involves removing the upper section of the stomach. Without it, you will begin too feel less hungry which can help your weight loss surgery even more.
Gastric Balloon
This procedure is performed differently to the other gastric bypass surgeries. This is because it does not require any surgery, rather, the user swallows an Allurion gastric balloon pill which takes up space in the patient’s stomach for 16 weeks and will naturally decompose. Nearly 100% of patients are able to swallow the pill successfully however if issues are faced, then we can provide support to do so.
One of the advantages of doing this procedure is that it is a reversible, temporary solution, which can reduce 10-15% of your total body weight. This will also allow you to reduce your appetite and portion sizes.
